Pearl Laboratory Animal Sci. & Tech. Co. Ltd. was founded in 2010 under the motivation of promoting the development and upgrade of the bio-medicine, biotechnology and related industries in China’s Pearl River Delta area. It is a perfect integration of the resources and technologies in the domains of comparative medicine and laboratory animal sciences of the Southern Medical University (SMU) and the capitals, infrastructure and management advantages of the Songshan Lake’s National High-tech Industrial Park. Pearl aims to establish a world class laboratory animal R&D platform, which highlights mini-pigs, non-human primates and beagle dogs, and provides one-stop services of laboratory animal breeding and experimental support worldwide. Combining unique animal resources with state-of-the-art technologies, Pearl strives to meet the strict demands for large animal models of human diseases for biomedical and pharmaceutical research and development. It also serves to offer a full range of CRO services in drug discovery, therapeutic development and applied innovation in healthcare industry.
